2. Data we collect
- Name, email address, billing and delivery address, phone number (if you give it)
- Order details and purchase history; payment status (we never see or store full card details)
- Messages you send us
- Reviews, comments and photos you post
- If you apply to our affiliate programme: your username, website, social-media platform, handle and profile link, follower range, what you tell us about yourself, and the PayPal email address for payouts
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and device
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To process and deliver your order and handle returns and complaints: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To meet tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To answer your messages and keep the Store secure: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To review affiliate applications, run the affiliate programme and pay commission: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To send our newsletter and review invitations, and to measure how the Store is used with Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- To note with your order how you reached the Store, for example from a search engine or a link: your consent, given by allowing Marketing in the cookie settings (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use no advertising cookies.
4. Who receives your data
Only service providers we need to run the Store: payment providers (Mollie and its partners), carriers (e.g. InPost, DPD, Orlen Paczka, international couriers), hosting and IT providers, the email and newsletter service, the review-invitation service you opt into at checkout, Google (Google Analytics, only if you allow statistics cookies), PayPal (affiliate commission payouts), and accounting and legal advisers where required by law.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
If you allow statistics cookies, Google Analytics data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and the transfer is also covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If another service provider transfers data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on its standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Order and accounting data for as long as tax and accounting law requires; correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your matter; account data until you delete your account; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, ask for data portability and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@zakojewelry.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
8. Cookies
We use necessary cookies to run the Store and, only with your consent, statistics cookies (Google Analytics). We use no advertising cookies; if you allow Marketing, WooCommerce notes with your order how you reached the Store. You can change your choice at any time; see the Cookie policy.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the law or our services change. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
